Meet the Staff

	Tricia - Receptionist Tricia is our front desk receptionist. She schedules appointments and coordinates all necessary paperwork with local outpatient centers and hospitals. Before joining our team in October 2008, Tricia worked in a medical office setting for more than five years. Her expertise in computer technology has greatly improved the efficiency of our office. In addition to her skills as a receptionist, Tricia is also a certified medical office assistant.
	Shaleen - Registered Nurse Shaleen is one of our three registered nurses (RNs) that accompany Dr. Proffitt to the operating room and assist with all surgical procedures. Shaleen has held a RN degree for 35 years and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing for the last 18 years. She graduated Magna cum Laude and is a member of two honor societies, Phi Kappa Phi and Sigma Theta Tau. All of Shaleen's extensive career as been spent in the operating room. She has held CNOR (certified nurse of the operating room) credentialing for 21 years. CNOR certification is a special certification for RNs who meet a higher standard and practice within in the nursing profession in providing care to patients before, during and after surgery. Shaleen has been a member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) for 21 years. Shaleen's valuable skills are a great asset to our team. She has assisted Dr. Proffitt in the operating room for 8 1/2 years.
	Denise - Registered Nurse Denise is one of our three registered nurses (RNs) that accompany Dr. Proffitt to the operating room and assist with all surgical procedures. Denise has held a RN degree for 26 years and has 23 years of experience as an operating room nurse. She is also CNOR credentialed which is a special certification for RNs who meet a higher standard and practice within the nursing profession in providing care to patients before, during and after surgery. Denise has held the Certified Nurse of the Operating Room (CNOR) credential for 20 years. She is also a member of the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses. Denise has brought her expertise and exceptional skills in nursing to the practice of plastic and reconstructive surgery since 1994 and joined our team in 2006.
	Suzy - Registered Nurse Suzy is one of our three registered nurses (RNs) and accompanies Dr. Proffitt in the operating room and assists with all surgical procedures. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University in Chicago and joins our team with over 15 years of clinical experience in the operating room. Suzy has over eight years of specialized experience in plastic, dermatological and ENT surgery. Suzy joined our staff in 2010.
	Sara - Registered Nurse Sara is our registered nurse who assists Dr. Proffitt in the office. She has joined our team with over 30 years of experience in both hospital and office settings. Sara holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master's of Science in Nursing Administration. She is a member of two honor societies, Phi Kappa Phi and Sigma Theta Tau as well as the recipient of the Excellence in Practice in Nursing Award for 1992. We are very pleased to welcome her as a member of our staff.
	Jessica - Insurance and Billing Jessica is our specialist in all insurance and billing procedures, with over 15 years of experience in the medical field.  She will insure all your claims are filed expeditiously.  She is available to answer any questions or concerns you may have.  Jessica attended Rutgers University in New Jersey and joined our staff in 2009.
