Restylane Mobile, AL

For Treating Lines, Folds and Wrinkles

As we age, our faces lose the volume that gives the look of youth and vibrancy. Luckily, injectable fillers like Restylane work to restore that volume and bring back what was once lost.

Here in Mobile, we can use Restylane injectable filler to fill facial lines and wrinkles, to help you reclaim the appearance of youth, diminishing common signs of aging.

Who’s the Right Candidate for Restylane?

Restylane is an injectable filler composed of hyaluronic acid, which mimics a naturally-occurring component in everyone’s skin. As such, it can be used with a variety of patients, regardless of age or skin type. Hyaluronic acid has a hydrating quality, bringing volume to the areas in which it is injected. Restylane is often used to treat:

  • facial wrinkles and folds
  • nasolabial lines
  • marionette lines
  • hollow tear trough
  • facial contouring

The Treatment: How Restylane Works

In your consultation with Dr. Proffitt, you will share your cosmetic desires with him and he will craft a customized treatment plan and determine the most effective injection sites. Before you begin treatment, the injection site will be cleansed. Using a special technique called crosshatching, or a similar technique, Dr. Proffitt will inject a specific amount of the Restlylane product beneath your skin.

There you will see some immediate correction of the depression. It may also be necessary for Dr. Proffitt to gently massage the injection site for proper placement of the product.

How Will I Look and Feel After Restylane?

Immediately following your Restylane treatment, you may experience some redness at the injection site. The skin in that area may also feel tight as a result of the treatment, but these are both temporary side effects and will fade soon. The benefits you will experience are greatly diminished lines and wrinkles on the face and an improved appearance in your skin. Your skin can look younger and more beautiful.
